These are unlicensed Spanish smurfs that were released in Spain during the 80s. Because of their good
much higher prices than regular licensed Schleich smurfs. Their numbers are nearly uncountable, and
collectors who have finished their basic collections often turn their eyes on CNTs.
They don't have any markings on the smurfs themselves, although they orginally came with a small gold
sticker, which is easily removed and is often lost.
Collectors recognize CNTs because of their smaller size (compared to Schleich smurfs) and good quality,
especially in regards to the paint. Smurfettes are often painted with orange yellow hair which is also another
sign of a CNT.
There is a discussion if some CNTs have markings, however the point has been made, that those with
markings could in fact be licensed smurfs produced for the Spanish market (much like the UK market had
their own yellow variations in the 80s).
